I am now posting on All For This Penny. Please visit me there!
A few weekends ago I was shopping at Claire’s and came across an adorable poufy-like hair accessory (that I can’t find a picture of). I don’t normally buy hair accessories (minus the essentials) but I have no qualms about making them! Here is my version of the poufy-like hair accessory.
What you’ll need:
- 8 circles of felt (I used a spool of thread as my circle template)
- needle and thread
- clip or headband
- hot glue
Fold two of your circles into 1/4ths and stitch together at the tips. (All 8 circles will be folded into 1/4ths.)
Sew on a third and fourth folded circle.
Now you have your base. Next, sew on (one at a time works best) 3 more folded circles.
You should only have one circle left at this point. Fold it and sew in the center.
Now you can either sew another piece of felt onto the bottom (it helps the pouf keep its shape better) and then glue onto a headband or clip or skip the extra sewing and glue directly onto your hair accessory of choice. And there you have it!
