Ruffled Lamp

Ruffled Lamp Revamp

I am so excited!!! {eek} I finished another Pinterest Project and this is one that I have simply been aching to make for a very very VERY long time!

The Ruffled Lamp by Crafty Texas Girls

First you need an old lamp…ugly…and in desperate need of some love. I got mine at Deseret Industries for $6 bucks…it was a bit pricey I thought for a used lamp, but the base of it still looked pretty nice and I didn’t want to look anywhere else. I was in a hurry…which is why I also forgot my coupon to the fabric store and ended up paying full price for my 2 1/2 yards of white muslin. oh well. $12 bucks for a new beautiful lamp…still sounds like a steal to me. :-)

Here it is before: {pretend I haven’t already started to glue my white fabric to it…oops.}

And here it is after, in all it’s beautiful loveliness. sigh. I love it soooo much. And it is going to look awesome in my daughter’s room right next to herĀ green paisley headboard.

Oh, and when you turn the light on…it looks pink, because the old red lamp shade shines through. Just perfect for my girly girl!

And just because…here is a picture of it in my backyard. My camera doesn’t work that great with artificial lighting. Or maybe it is me, the photographer, that doesn’t work well inside with artificial lighting. Not sure. All I know is all my projects look better outside. So I just had to throw one in…I think it accents the weeds quite nicely :-)

Yay for Pinterest Projects!!!
