Stained Glass Cookie Ornaments

Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately. Christmas present making has been keeping me super busy -Remind me again why I decided to make them all this year? I just don’t know if I am going to be able to get them all done. With only 11 days left I am definitely beginning to wonder.

Anyhow, here are a few ornaments I made for our tree this year.  I made them back in November and I have been meaning to share them ever since. We all had a lot of fun making them, even though they didn’t really turn out the way I thought they would. The picture on the site where I got the idea, may have been a tad bit misleading.

Most of the ones I made got so puffy that the cut out middle practically disappeared, and some of the others didn’t have enough crushed Jolly Ranchers in the middle so the cookie kind of absorbed it all…but hey! A few of them still worked out!!!

Plus…and this is a BIG plus…they were super good to eat! You would think that the melted Jolly Rancher center would make them really hard, but they were super chewy and the whole cookie had a really yummy candy flavor. YUM. Oh, let me say that again YUM YUM YUM!
