Reese’s Chewy Chocolate Cookies

So, I have been in a bit of a blogging slump lately. I’m sure everybody goes through it…I think mostly it is because it is January, and truth be known “January is my LEAST favorite month of the entire year” and you can quote me on that! I think it is because it is gloomy and cold, and all I want to do is eat and sleep. So, to cheer myself up I made these fabulous:

Reese’s Chewy Chocolate Cookies

  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 C. Hershy’s cocoa
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 1/4 C. butter or margarine (softened)
  • 2 C. Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 t. vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 C (10 oz pkg.) Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips

Heat Oven to 350. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Beat butter and sugar in bowl until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in peanut butter chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Back 8-9 minutes. (Do not overbake; cookies will be soft. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooling.) Makes 4 1/2 doz. cookies.

Looks good even though I am not a big fan of the flavored type chips. Some of them taste like flavored wax as opposed to an actual food item.

My kids loved these the other night. I can’t wait to make some and eat them myself. They look delicious, they smelled good and I bet they taste even better then they smelled.

these look so much yummier than the no bake oatmeal flops I tried last time.

Oh yum, I’ll have to try it without the pb chips, and add choc chips. (oldest is allergic to pb and products)
