re-covered car seat

A Nice “New” Old Seat

So, here it is! (drum roll please) My re-covered car seat! Ta Da! I am so pleased with the way it turned out! I wasn’t 100% sure I would even be able to do it, but I am glad I gave it a go. And even though it is far from perfect….it is pretty good for a first timer! Plus, my grandma always says that the little mistakes is what gives your sewing character, and that has always made me feel better when things turn out just a little, um, flawed. ha ha.

(You can click HERE to see what it looked like before.)

I sure hope my son appreciates all the work I put into his seat…he really isn’t old enough to thank me yet—but someday I know he’ll be grateful that he didn’t have to ride around town in a pink flowered chair! ha ha.

Now, what to do about that pink boppy pillow he has been using. hmm. :-)

  10. I am amazed that this was done by hand (by someone who doesn’t do upholstery for a living)!! You have seriously made me re-think about what is possible when a mom and her sewing machine get down to business!
