Cute Onesies…Stuffed with Diapers
I have been looking for this picture for what seems like For-ev-er! And I just happened across it today while I was searching through iPhoto for some other lost picture. oh dear. Anyhow, I haven’t been in a very crafty mood lately—I have had so much going on, and I haven’t been sleeping very well. boo hoo. poor me.
So, I thought I would just share a crafty project that I did way back when…hmm, when did I make these? ha ha. who knows?

In case you can’t tell from the picture, these onesies are stuffed using about 15 newborn diapers and they are snapped around a bottle of baby powder. I actually started off with plain white onesies and used Iron-on appliques that I got from JoAnn’s to dress them up a bit. (I fell in love with the “little stinker” one….wish I would have kept it. ha ha.) Before I gave them away, I wrapped them in clear cellophane and added a matching ribbon and card. so cute.
Anyhow, they make for a pretty simple and cute baby shower gift…if you’re looking for some ideas
.
Have a Happy Day!

Little Baby Loafers

YAY! I am so excited that I finally finished crocheting these cute little Loafers today for my little boy! Woot Woot!
I actually bought this pattern at Sylver.etsy.com over a year ago and I will tell you right now that I had a pretty hard time making them. I started crocheting them multiple times and just ended up being confused and frustrated by the pattern. It definitely stretched my crochet skills (and comprehension skills) to the max! But, after much perseverance I finally got them done, and even though there are a few mistakes, I am pretty pleased with how they turned out. Plus my boy looks absolutely dashing in them!
Yay, for finished crochet projects that took way too long to get done! =)

Washcloth Lolly Pops!
So, my very good friend Michelle, sent me some pictures of a craft she did and I loved it so much I just had to share! I personally think that her Washcloth Lolly pops would be a huge hit at any baby shower! You can find the how to on eHow!

They look super cute tucked in a little basket with baby bath soaps and rubber duckies (and I love the way she weaved ribbon into the basket…nice touch!):

Thanks for sharing your craft Michelle!!! ha ha.

Homemade Car Seat Bunting
This year (I kid you not) I had the hardest time EVER finding my little guy a coat. I literally went to 10 stores and I found infant coats in every size smaller and larger than the size I needed! I was so frustrated. I finally found this little brown jacket/coat but I didn’t think it would be quite warm enough for these cold Utah Winters. So as I was searching around on-line I came up with the idea to make a car seat bunting. (I found some for sale for $50 plus…YIKES!)

I called up my aunt Diana (this is an aunt everybody on earth wishes they had, and luckily for me I do!) and she had some really warm (and I mean REALLY warm) wool that she said I could have. And then I went to the store and picked up this nice light brown fabric to put on the outside for $5.00. (unfortunately I sewed the wrong sides together, so the nice suede side is actually sewn on the inside…sometimes that’s just the way it goes huh!?! Oh well.)
I actually found a pattern to make one of these on Etsy by ToadsTreasures but I decided to just give it a go on my own…and I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out!
I sewed up the bottom so his little feet would always be covered…

and I added ties on both flaps so he wouldn’t be able to wriggle his arms out…

I am so happy with the way it turned out! And I am happy with the $5 I spent and the $45.00 I saved! YAY!!!

Baby Shower Door Wreath

I know you have all seen diaper wreaths (well if you haven’t you will have to google them sometime) they are cute, and I like ‘em. But I like these better =) ha ha. I am definitely biased though because these are my very own unique creations! I posted about one of my baby wreaths back in May and I have finally been able to make another one so I could do an actual tutorial for all of you:
Step 1: Collect some cute stuff!
- First and foremost you are going to need a wreath base. I got lucky and found this 13″ wreath base at a local dollar store. If you can’t find one at a dollar store you will have to fork out a few more bucks and pick one up at a craft store like Roberts or JoAnn’s.
- Next you will need to get some baby onesies & socks. I just bought a package of 5 onesies with a coordinating package of socks. Worked great!
- You will also need: silk flowers, greens, hot glue, and ribbon.

Step 2: Lay out your onesies and socks so you can visualize how they will fit and look on your wreath.

then make a mark on your wreath base so you can see the area on your wreath where your onesies and socks will go. This is the area that you DO NOT want to fill with flowers/greens.

I drew a line between my markings so I wouldn’t get confused…

Step 3: Start by adding your greens. You will want to glue them onto your wreath in a circular pattern. Don’t have one leaf pointing to the left and another pointing to the right, PICK ONE direction and stick with it! You can see that mine are all glued on in a clockwise direction…

Step 4: Now you get to add your pretty flowers.

Step 5: Place your baby items back on your wreath (one at a time) and find any holes. I then added a few yellow flowers and different greens to fill in the gaps shown below.

Step 6: Thread some ribbon through your wreath and tie a shoe string bow around your baby items.

Now just hang it up on the front door while you are hosting a baby shower and present it to the mom-to-be before she goes home! She can then remove all of these adorable baby items and use them.

Here are a few of the other wreaths I have made:

Hope you got some great ideas! Have fun making baby wreaths…and as always, if you do make one, I would love to see a picture!!!
***Also: I’m a little protective of my wreath pics-so make sure you give credit where credit is due if you use them – if you make a wreath just make sure to let people know where you got the idea and send a little love back my way because you are nice! That’s it. Thank you!***
