Yay for Thanksgiving!
Kristine McKay (one of my favorite crafters) was on Studio5 again today and shared some really fun ideas for making Thanksgiving more memorable! I absolutely love the idea of having a Giving Tree based upon the book by Shel Silverstein which I hope ALL of you have read! It is such a cute story and a really fun one to share for Thanksgiving!

“Had to Share” Turkey Shirt Applique
I ran across this really amazingly fun blog today called Made With Love and Glue (what a cute name!) and I found this idea to make an appliqued (hand) turkey shirt. Oh man…I really thought this one was creative and so of course I just “Had to Share!”

Sugar Cookie Turkey Feast

I absolutely love decorating sugar cookies in fun new ways for a holiday. A few years ago I made these fun Turkeys (I originally found the idea in a Pillsbury ad that came in the mail.) They are so cute and super easy to make!
Here is what you need:
- Round Sugar Cookies (you can make your own, or buy the pillsbury dough)
- Candy Corn
- Mini M&Ms
- Brown Frosting
- Orange gel frosting
- Black get frosting
I wont go in to detail here about how you make them, because I think that the pictures do a pretty good job of explaining…have fun! And as always, I would love to see a pic if you make some!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Gobble Gobble
So, I have been having a hard time getting into the spirit of Thanksgiving. How awful huh?!? I’m almost embarrassed to admit it. ughh. So, today Audrey and I made some apple turkeys (got the idea from LittlePageTurners):

If my daughter was in her teens I might be worried that her Turkey looks more like a weapon, than a bird, but since she is only 3…well we will just call it imaginative artistic expression =) ha ha.

After we finished our Turkeys we thought about some of the things we were thankful for. Audrey didn’t know what being “thankful” meant so I explained that it was “something we were glad to have.” She got super excited and told me she was thankful for shoes and teeth. Well, I suppose I am too now that you mention it! =)
